“Brett never missed a beat in the production. enchanting the audience with her expressive face and balletic movements...her performance of ‘Much More’ was beautiful.”
-The Zeeland Record
Its fawn-like leading lady, Emily Brett, an elegant tiny songbird...sang sweetly and danced the demanding balletic choreography like a pro...Brett is spritely, her dancing spry, and her soprano operatic.
Only Emmy Brett...manages to shed the simple skin of their character to reveal something much richer. Brett seems to rise above the show’s subtitle “A Musical Fable” by projecting a magnetism and sense of presence that adds personality to what could easily be an uncomplicated and less interesting portrait.

irrational: a new musical
There are many mind-blowing moments....but the hottest numbers are those between Gerstner and Brett – their vocal pairing and physical electricity would hold up in any Broadway venue. Seeing them in the intimate Yellow Barn performance space is incredible.
Brett’s vocals are delightful...[she’s] clever...just right.”
